IPC The Hospitalist Buys Eastside Medical Consultants

(RTTNews) - IPC The Hospitalist Company, Inc. (IPCM) said Thursday that it has acquired Eastside Medical Consultants, LLC, based in Wichita, Kansas.

The acquisition represents IPC's second deal in the Wichita market in the past 15 months, having established a presence in Wichita in the first quarter of 2013. Eastside Medical Consultants has provided hospitalist services in the Wichita area since 2002.

Eastside Medical Consultants founder Randy Mijares will continue to provide clinical leadership to the practice under IPC.

Eastside Medical Consultants' patient encounters are estimated at about 34,000 on an annualized basis.
