InventHelp Inventor Develops Non-Invasive Catheter Alternative (CBA-3519)

PITTSBURGH, Dec. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- "As a retired nurse, I realized that most urinary catheters on the market have tubes that must be forced into the patient's body," said an inventor from Columbia, S.C. "I came up with an alternative that is less invasive and traumatic in order to lessen the risk of infection."

She developed the SANI-TEE to serve as a clean way to collect urine. The design eliminates the need to force a catheter tube into the urethra. This minimizes trauma to the body. The invention is thereby designed to minimize the risk of infection, as it is non-invasive. The accessory prevents skin breakdown and irritation. Additionally, it reduces the need to change the bed as frequently.
