Inovio, GeneOne To Jointly Advance Ebola Vaccine Into Phase I Trial

(RTTNews) - Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (INO) Wednesday said it will collaborate with GeneOne Life Science Inc., to develop Inovio's DNA-based Ebola vaccine through a Phase I clinical trial.

Currently, the companies are conducting pre-IND activities and are planning to initiate the clinical study in the first half of 2015.

The companies will seek additional third party support and resources for further development and marketing of the product, post successful completion of the Phase I.

Presently, there is no vaccine or standard of care treatment for people infected with the Ebola virus.
