Informatica and Teradata Announce TDWI 2006 Best Practices Award Win for Joint Customer Nationwide

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., June 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Informatica Corporation and Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation , today announced that joint customer Nationwide won The Data Warehousing Institute's (TDWI) 2006 Best Practices Award in the Master Data Management (MDM) category for its innovative FOCUS finance data-management initiative. Informatica PowerCenter Advanced Edition serves as the data integration backbone of FOCUS, consolidating data across more than 200 legacy applications into a Teradata enterprise data warehouse (EDW). The integrated information is used by more than 2,000 analysts -- from the CFO's office to departmental analysts across many business units -- for key activities such as financial planning, budgeting, allocations, forecasting, risk management and regulatory reporting.
