IDEX Q2 Profit Meets Estimate; Backs FY15 EPS View

(RTTNews) - IDEX Corp. (IEX) reported net income for the second quarter of $69.6 million or $0.89 per share, compared to $71.8 million or $0.88 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Net sales for the second quarter fell to $514.88 million from $546.69 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.89 per share on revenue of $514.62 million for the second quarter.

Looking forward, the company forecast third quarter earnings of $0.88 to $0.90 per share and maintained its full year 2015 earnings guidance of $3.50 to $3.60 per share.

Analysts currently expect the company to earn $0.91 per share for the third quarter and $3.59 per share for the full year 2015.
