Humana’s RightSourceRx Ranks Highest Two Years in a Row in "Prescription Delivery” Category of J.D. Power And Associates Study

Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) announced today that RightSourceRxSM, the home-delivery pharmacy for Humana Pharmacy SolutionsSM, a division of Humana Inc., has received the highest national ranking in the "Prescription Delivery” category among mail-order pharmacies in the J.D. Power and Associates 2010 National Pharmacy StudySM. Humana’s RightSourceRx pharmacy also ranks above the industry average in other key factors of the study including customer service, cost competitiveness and prescription ordering.

"We see every prescription order as an opportunity to provide perfect service for our members, and to help them achieve lifelong well-being,” said William Fleming, vice president, Humana Pharmacy Solutions. "Ranking highest in the mail-order prescription delivery category demonstrates our commitment to deliver our members’ prescriptions with accuracy and speed.”

Humana RightSourceRx customers have 24/7 access to licensed pharmacists who offer an easy, integrated ordering process, and monthly counseling by a nurse specifically trained in the member’s given condition and medication for any issues or concerns about medications.

The 2010 National Pharmacy Study is based on the responses of mail-order pharmacy customers who filled a new prescription or refilled a prescription during the three months prior to the J.D. Power and Associates survey period. Four factors are measured in the mail-order segment of the pharmacy study:

  • Cost competitiveness
  • Prescription delivery
  • Prescription ordering
  • Customer service
