Hub Group Inc. Q2 Profit Advances 12%

(RTTNews) - Hub Group Inc. (HUBG) released earnings for its second quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $20.67 million, or $0.61 per share. This was higher than $18.47 million, or $0.51 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.58 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 4.9% to $855.56 million. This was down from $899.51 million last year.
