HSBC Insurance Services Names J. Kevin McCarthy Managing Director of I

    BRIDGEWATER, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 25, 2005--HSBC Insurance has named J. Kevin McCarthy Managing Director of Insurance Sales and Business Development for North America. In this newly-elevated position, he will be responsible for the development and distribution of all HSBC North American business units insurance products.
    A thirty-year veteran of the insurance industry, McCarthy most recently served as Senior Vice President of Distribution at Allstate Financial. He worked for Allstate for five years, and at the time of his departure was a member of the company's executive committee, responsible for setting strategic direction and managing the business on a day-to-day basis. He held leadership positions at Provident Mutual Life Insurance Company and CNA Insurance prior to his tenure at Allstate.

He will be based in HSBC Insurance Services headquarters in Bridgewater, New Jersey.
