Houston READ Commission Uses Email Marketing from Constant Contact to Stay in Touch with Donors and Supporters

Houston READ Commission, like many nonprofits, is strapped for time and resources. With the important holiday giving season approaching, Development Director Anne Criner knew the organization needed a better, more consistent way to communicate with donors and supporters. Criner turned to Constant Contact (NASDAQ: CTCT), the company that literally wrote the book on email marketing for small organizations, for help. Constant Contact’s Houston-Based Regional Development Director (RDD) Amy Tinsley will be on hand to officially present the Houston READ Commission with a plaque honoring its status as customer number 400,000. Houston READ Commission is a nonprofit organization with a mission to lead and mobilize a coalition of literacy providers and resources to improve the literacy landscape of Houston. Established in 1988 by the Mayor and City Council, Houston READ Commission supports the Mayor’s Coalition for Literacy, an association of more than one hundred seventy five literacy sites in Houston. These member organizations, known as literacy providers, strive to eliminate illiteracy by offering educational services geared toward the specific needs of their communities.
