Hooker Furniture Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Hooker Furniture (HOFT) Wednesday reported third-quarter net earnings of $3 million or $0.30 per share compared with $2 million or $0.20 per share last year.

On average, two analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.28 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues for the quarter were $63 million compared with $59 million in the prior year.

"Based on the sales order momentum of last quarter and so far in the fiscal 2015 fourth quarter, we have an optimistic outlook for the remainder of the year," said CEO Paul Toms Jr.
