Helen Of Troy Profit Falls Despite Revenue Growth - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Consumer products company Helen of Troy Ltd (HELE) Thursday reported second-quarter net earnings of $18.8 million or $0.65 per share compared with $23.3 million or $0.72 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.99 per share compared with $0.97 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $319.9 million compared with $319.4 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.65 per share on revenues of $313 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking ahead to the full year, the Company continues to expect adjusted earnings of $4.87 to $5.01 per share and sales of $1.38 billion to $1.41 billion, including the results of Healthy Directions LLC. Analysts expect earnings of $3.93 per share on sales of $1.39 billion.
