Heijmans involved in new housing project of VWS/RIVM and CBG

Heijmans is involved in the StruktonHurks consortium which has received the 'intention to award' from the Rijksgebouwendienst (Government Buildings Agency) for the new housing project of VWS/RIVM and CBG. As an integral partner, Heijmans is jointly responsible for the structural and technical installation provisions within the integrated DBMO B.V. The portion of the project represented by Heijmans has a value of approximately €100 million. The definitive award is planned on Monday, 14 July 2014.

The project involves new, flexible, sustainable and energy-efficient housing for two renowned knowledge institutes: the National Institute of Public Health and Environmental Protection (RIVM) and the Medicines Evaluation Board Agency (CBG). Both institutes are part of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS). Construction of the building will take place during 2015 and 2018 in the Utrecht Science Park/The Uithof in Utrecht.
