HCBA Past-President Kim Lowe, Todd Taylor and 4 others found Avisen Legal, P.A.

MINNEAPOLIS, March 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Hennepin County Bar Association past President Kim Lowe and Todd Taylor, both formerly of Fredrikson & Byron and 4 others founded Avisen Legal, P.A., a business law firm offering sophisticated legal advice and counsel to businesses and entrepreneurs.  Taylor serves as Avisen's CEO while Lowe serves as CFO and COO.  Avisen, pronounced like horizon, means adviser in Old French. 

Prior to co-founding Avisen, Lowe was with the JUX Law Firm, a shareholder at Fredrikson (where she spent 13 years), Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly (now Fox Rothchild) and Doherty Rumble & Butler (closed 1999).  Prior to co-founding Avisen, Taylor was with Lowe at JUX. For ten years prior to joining JUX, Taylor was a shareholder at Fredrikson.  Prior to Fredrikson, Todd was at Rider Bennet Egan and Arundel, LLP, Larkin Hoffman and a solo lawyer.

Lowe and Taylor are joined by Bill Egan, a 30 plus year executive compensation and employment attorney, formerly of Oppenheimer, William J. Egan, PLC and Rider Bennet Egan and Arundel, LLP; Larry Fox, a seasoned business, startup and technology attorney who was General Counsel of NatureWorks, LLC (formerly Cargill Dow), a senior attorney in Intel's new business initiatives group, and a lawyer with Covington & Burling in Washington DC; John Saunders, an experienced real estate and business law attorney who was in-house prior to joining JUX in January of 2016; and Brian Edstrom, the Director of the Securities Division of the Minnesota Department of Commerce prior to joining.
