HCA Names William Rutherford CFO, Effective Jan. 1, 2014 - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - William Rutherford would become HCA's (HCA) chief financial officer and executive vice president with effect from January 1, 2014, thereby succeeding Milton Johnson as CFO when Johnson, HCA's President and CFO, becomes president and chief executive at the year end.

Rutherford, as CFO, would have management responsibility for the company's Treasury Department, Office of the Controller, Information Technology, Government Programs, and Strategic Resource Group.

Rutherford currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of HCA's Physician Services Group, helping to provide leadership oversight of physician employment, recruiting and practice management for more than 3,000 providers.

In July, the firm had announced Richard Bracken's retirement as chief executive at the end of 2013.
