Haemonetics Slips To Loss In Q3

(RTTNews) - Haemonetics Corp. (HAE) Monday announced third quarter net loss of $59.44 million compared to a profit of $15.99 million last year. On a per share basis, loss was $1.17 compared to a profit of $0.31 a year ago. The company has recorded one time impairment of goodwill and intangible assets of $85.05 million in the recent quarter. Adjusted net profit was $24.6 million.

On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.46 per share. Analysts estimates usually exclude special items.

Net revenue for the quarter edged up to $233.38 million from $231.83 million in the prior year. Wall Street expected $237.37 million.
