Guy Carpenter Adds Team of Seasoned Professionals To Political Risk and Trade Credit Practice

Richard Trueman, Seamus Kerr, and Stuart Grant have joined GuyCarpenter from Benfield's Credit, Bond & Political Risk unit,effective immediately. Mark Chappels has also joined Guy Carpenterfrom Transatlantic Reinsurance Company, where he was a SeniorUnderwriter within their Financial Risks division.

The team will soon be strengthened further by the arrival of JohnOrchard and David Edwards, also from Benfield. All will report to NickFrankland, Guy Carpenter's UK Casualty Practice Leader.

John Orchard has more than 20 years of reinsurance brokingexperience in the London Market, the last 12 as Head of the Credit,Bond and Political Risk Team at Benfield. Among his manyaccomplishments, he developed the St. Andrews Credit, Bond & PoliticalRisk Conference, into a biennial event supported by approximately 90percent of the worldwide insurance and reinsurance capacity in theclass.

Mark Chappels was formerly an underwriter at Transatlantic Re, oneof the market's leading reinsurers. Prior to joining Transatlantic Rehe spent five years in direct Credit and Political Risk running a teamof seven brokers.

Seamus Kerr has more than 24 years of reinsurance broking and Bondexperience, across all major classes. At Benfield, Mr. Kerr wasresponsible for all facultative Bond placements, including aggregateutilisation.

Over a 15-year career in reinsurance broking - the last five inthe area of Credit, Bond and Political Risk - Stuart Grant hasconsiderable knowledge of and experience with the Asian and Japanesemarkets.

David Edwards has 17 years of reinsurance experience, the lastfive with Benfield's Credit Bond & Political Risk team, where hehandled major accounts in London and the Asia-Pacific region. Mr.Edwards is a frequent speaker at Berne Union/ICISA Reinsurance Marketmeetings.

Richard Trueman has more than 16 years of experience inreinsurance underwriting and broking and had been responsible for anumber of online, interactive credit and information systems.
