Grontmij signs alliance contract with Anglian Water worth up to €72 million
De Bilt, - Grontmij N.V., a listed consulting & engineering company with strong European presence has signed an alliance contract with English water and water recycling company Anglian Water. Grontmij will work collaboratively with Anglian Water and other alliance partners to develop and implement innovative solutions to deliver Anglian Water's investment plan. For Grontmij the contract has an annual value ranging from €2.4 to €4.8 million a year, for up to 15 years, representing a total worth up to €72 million.
Grontmij's role will include enabling activities, procurement, supply chain management and the development of standard products. The alliance will deliver a range of water treatment, water supply and water recycling schemes to maintain and improve Anglian Water's service to its customers and protect and enhance the environment.

Framework partners
Grontmij will be working for Anglian Water with other selected alliance partners Balfour Beatty, Barhale, MMB (a joint venture of Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley), MWH and Skanska. This group of companies make up the first of four alliances to be announced by Anglian Water this year. These alliances will collectively do every kind of work for Anglian Water, ranging from building large new water treatment works to repairing small leaks and connecting new properties to the network. The supply chain deals across all four alliances will be worth between up to €7 - €11bn in total over 15 years, starting in 2015.
