Gretchen Carlson Accuses Fox News Boss Of Sexual Harassment
(RTTNews) - Gretchen Carlson, a former Fox News Channel host, has filed a sexual harassment case against Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes.
In the complaint, Carlson, popular for co-hosting "Fox & Friends" until 2013, alleges Ailes of sabotaging her career because she refused his "sexual advances."
According to Carlson, Ailes retaliated against her in various way, including by terminating her employment on June 23, 2016, and "ostracizing" "marginalizing" and "shunning" her for not having sexual relationship with him.
Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes responded on Wednesday night to the lawsuit by calling the allegations "false" and "offensive."
21st Century Fox has reportedly launched an internal review of conduct by Ailes and by Steve Doocy, Carlson's former co-host on "Fox & Friends." The company said that it has "full confidence" in Ailes and Doocy.
Carlson's hosting of "The Real Story" ended on June 23, when her contract expired, which had not been made public until now.
