Graphic Packaging's Z-Flute(R) Packages Its First Sam's Club Private Label Product

MARIETTA, Ga., Sept. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Graphic Packaging International announced today the commercialization this year of the first Sam's Club private label product packaged in Z-Flute. Z-Flute's performance against corrugated was a key factor in securing the business.

Z-Flute competed with Microflute to package the 72-count Zoo Animals fruit snack pouches. Enhanced graphic capabilities, line efficiency, carton integrity and vertical compression strength were critical issues in the decision.

"The Z-Flute carton runs better than corrugated on their packing lines and offers excellent four-sided billboarding in the club channel," states Dan Keefe, GPI's Director of Marketing. "And the Z-Flute carton supports the 'disappearing pallets' requirement in the club store channel."
