Governor General Announces the State Visit to Canada of the President of Colombia

OTTAWA, Oct. 23, 2017 /CNW/ - Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, is pleased to announce the State visit to Canada of His Excellency Juan Manuel Santos Calderón, President of the Republic of Colombia, from October 29 to 31, 2017.

"I look forward to welcoming President Santos on his State visit to Canada," the Governor General said. "Colombia is a valued partner for Canada. With Colombia in the midst of a historic peace process, this visit will provide our two countries with an important opportunity to further the goal of peace, and to improve our relations in the spheres of security, commerce and development."
