GoPro, Frozen Merch Lead Amazon's List Of Big Holiday Sellers

(RTTNews) - World's largest online retailer Amazon is already out with its list of items ending up under the most Christmas trees this year.

The company did not provide specific sales numbers, but said the biggest hits included a wide variety of merchandise from Disney's blockbuster movie Frozen, as well as GoPro cameras and Amazon's own Fire TV sticks.

Top-selling toys were Disney Frozen Sparkle Princess Elsa Doll and the Anki DRIVE Starter Kit Smart Robot Car Racing Game.

The best selling camera was the GoPro HERO4 SILVER, and accessories for the GoPro series were also popular.

Video game leaders were Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Just Dance 2015 and Super Smash Bros.

Samsung 32-inch 1080p 60Hz Smart LED TV and 40-inch 1080p 60Hz Smart LED TV were joined by LG Electronics 42-inch 1080p 60Hz LED TV as the top selling televisions.

Amazon Fire TV was the best-selling streaming media box on Amazon.com this holiday season.

Fire TV Stick, Fire HD 6 and Fire HD 7 were among the most wished-for items on Amazon.com this holiday season. The company noted that Fire TV Stick is the fastest-selling Amazon device ever.

The top-selling movies on Amazon.com were "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Maleficent."

Amazon shipped to 185 countries this holiday.

Holidays results from Amazon also confirm that customers are increasingly comfortable using smartphones and tablets to make purchases.

Nearly 60 percent of Amazon.com customers shopped using a mobile device this holiday, with mobile shopping accelerated as customers got later into the shopping season, the company said.

Cyber Monday continues to be Amazon.com's peak mobile shopping day, but Black Friday saw the biggest increase in purchases using mobile devices.

Total holiday sales from the Amazon app for smartphones doubled in 2014 in the US.
