Google Glass Available In Designer Frames

(RTTNews) - Google has tapped Diane von Furstenberg to design limited edition frames for its Google Glass device. The line will be unveiled June 4 and includes five new frames and eight new shades.

"These new designs build on the style choices we gave Explorers when we launched the Titanium Collection in January," read a statement from Google. "Like Diane says, 'technology is your best accessory.'"

The hardware used in Google Glass remains the same, reports TechCrunch. The Furstenberg branded line retail for $1,620. The original version went on sale earlier this year for $1,500.

The glasses feature a computing unit and display that can be projected into the field of the user's vision. It is controlled with voice commands or using a touchpad mounted on the side.

According to the internet giant, the updated designs will be available for purchase from Glass and Net-a-Porter.com on June 23. Google says the run is limited but has not announced a specific number.
