Google Continues To Lead Explicit Core Search Market: ComScore - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Internet statistics analyst comScore, Inc. (SCOR), Wednesday said, Google Sites currently lead the explicit core search market for the month of October with 66.9 percent of search queries conducted.

Microsoft Sites accounted for 18.1 percent of the explicit core searches, an improvement of 0.1 percentage points over last year. Explicit core searches on Yahoo! Sites dropped slightly to 11.1 percent. Ask Network and AOL accounted for 2.6 percent and 1.3 percent of the explicit searches.

According to comScore, 19.3 billion explicit core searches were conducted in October, with Google Sites ranking first with 12.9 billion. Microsoft Sites ranked second with 3.5 billion searches, closely followed by Yahoo! Sites with 2.2 billion. Ask Network and AOL had total explicit core searches of 499 million and 260 million, respectively.
