Go-Ahead Not To Get Northern, TransPennine Express Franchises; Stock Down

(RTTNews) - Go-Ahead Group Plc. (GOG.L), a provider of passenger transport services, Wednesday said it is disappointed not to have been awarded the Northern franchise and the TransPennine Express franchise. The shares were losing around 3 percent in the morning trading in London.

For both franchises, Go-Ahead submitted joint bid with Keollis, with Go-Ahead holding 65% and Keolis holding 35% in each.

The company said in its statement, "We were and will remain disciplined in our approach to bidding for UK rail contracts and will seek feedback from the Department for Transport as part of our evaluation and review."

In London, Go-Ahead shares were trading at 2,610 pence, down 3.12 percent.
