Globecomm Systems Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: GCOM), a leading provider of satellite-based communications infrastructure solutions and services on a global basis, announced today that David Hershberg, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer has been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Satellite Communications exchange (ISCe). This award recognizes Mr. Hershberg’s lifetime contribution and leadership in the advancement and success in the satellite and communications industry. ISCe is the (USA) west satellite and communications event, held each June, that highlights satellite-based services, technologies and solutions for the commercial, consumer, civil, and military services. Mr. Hershberg will receive his award during the ISCe’s Awards Dinner on Wednesday, June 11th at the San Diego Marriott & Marina. He joins previous recipients Conny Kullman (former CEO of Intelsat), Harold Rosen (Hughes Communications), and Joseph Clayton (Chairman of Sirius Satellite Radio) as a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.
