Global Payments to Hold Annual Meeting on September 21, 2005 and Announce First Quarter Earnings on September 22, 2005

ATLANTA, Aug. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global Payments Inc. , a leading provider of electronic transaction processing solutions, will release first quarter financial results for fiscal year 2005 after the market closes on Thursday, September 22, 2005.

Global Payments' management will host a conference call for investors to discuss these results at 10:30 a.m. ET on Friday, September 23, 2005.
