GLG Partners Appoints New Portfolio Manager Anthony Burton

GLG Partners, Inc ("GLG) (NYSE: GLG), a leading alternative asset manager, announced today that Anthony Burton has joined its London office as a Portfolio Manager. Anthony will co-manage GLGs global technology investments alongside Philip Pearson in conjunction with a broadening of the current scope of such investments to include the global media and telecom sectors. Anthony will report to GLGs Co-Founder and Senior Investment Manager, Pierre Lagrange.

Anthony joins GLG from Merrill Lynch, where he ran a global long short fund which was largely focused on the technology, media and telecom sectors. From 2000 to 2006, Anthony was a Global Technology Specialist in the equity business of Merrill Lynch. Prior to this, Anthony worked in technology sales at Nomura International. Anthony has earned a CFA, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Finance from Monash University and The University of Melbourne, respectively.
