Gibraltar Industries Q2 Adj. Profit Rises; Net Sales Up 36.5%

(RTTNews) - Gibraltar Industries, Inc. (ROCK) said it recorded solid second-quarter performance with revenue growth of 37%, adjusted operating income growth of 8%, and adjusted EPS growth of 7%. The company reaffirmed its full year revenue and earnings per share guidance.

Second quarter adjusted earnings per share was $0.80 compared to $0.75, a year ago. On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.87, for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items. GAAP earnings increased 7.8% to $26.4 million, or $0.80 per share, for the quarter.

Adjusted net sales were $348.4 million, up 36.5% from a year ago. Analysts expected revenue of $327.35 million, for the quarter.

Shares of Gibraltar Industries were down 3% in pre-market trade on Tuesday.
