General Steel Schedules Second Quarter 2013 Earnings Release

BEIJING, Aug. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- General Steel Holdings, Inc. ("General Steel" or the "Company") (NYSE: GSI), a leading non-state-owned steel producer in China, today announced that it will report financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2013, before the U.S. market opens on August 30, 2013. The Company expects to file its Form 10-Q with the Securities and Exchange Commission on the same day.

General Steel will hold a corresponding conference call and live webcast at 8:00 a.m. EDT on Friday, August 30, 2013 (which corresponds to 8:00 p.m.Beijing/Hong Kong Time on Friday, August 30, 2013) to discuss the results and answer questions from investors. Listeners may access the call by dialing 1-800-860-2442 in the U.S., and 1-412-858-4600 internationally.

The call will also be available as a live, listen-only webcast under the "Events and Presentations" page on the "Investor Relations" section of the Company's website at http://www.mzcan.com/us/GSI/irwebsite/index.php?mod=event.
