GE Names Jamie Miller CFO; Three Vice Chairs To Leave

(RTTNews) - General Electric Co. (GE) announced that several of its top-level executives are leaving the company, in a shake-up after John Flannery took over the helm at the conglomerate recently.

GE's vice chair and chief financial officer Jeffrey Bornstein will leave the company effective December 31, 2017, after 28 years of service. Jamie Miller, CEO of GE Transportation, has been named financial chief, effective November 1, 2017.

GE also announced that Vice Chair's John Rice and Beth Comstock will retire from the company, effective December 31, 2017. John Rice will continue to lead GE's Global Growth Organization through year-end, while Beth Comstock will continue to lead GE Business Innovations through the end of the year.

Jamie joined GE in 2008 as vice president, controller and chief accounting officer after 18 years of experience outside the company at Anthem, Inc and as a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.

John Flannery, chairman and CEO of GE said, "Jamie's deep experience in finance, digital technology and business operations make her the right person for this role as GE continues to transform into a digital industrial company."

GE closed Friday's trading session at $24.39.
