Fusion-io Q4 Net Loss Widens; Forecast Q1 Revenue Below Consensus - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Fusion-io, Inc. (FIO) reported that its fourth quarter net loss widened to $23.8 million or $0.24 per share from year-ago quarter's net loss of $2.4 million or $0.03 per share.

Non-GAAP net loss for the quarter was $3.0 million or $0.03 per share, compared to non-GAAP net income of $9.8 million or $0.09 per share in the same quarter of fiscal 2012.

Revenue for the quarter improved 21 percent to $106.1 million from $87.7 million for the preceding quarter and was essentially flat from $106.6 million in the same quarter of 2012.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.03 per share on revenue of $110.18 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company forecast revenue of $80 million to $90 million and net loss for the first quarter of fiscal year 2014. Analysts expect the company to report revenue of $123.83 million for the first quarter. For the fiscal year, the company expects revenue growth of approximately 20 percent.
