Fulton Financial Profit In Line With Estimates, Revenue Misses

(RTTNews) - Fulton Financial Corp (FULT) on Tuesday reported second-quarter net income $36.7 million or $0.21 per share compared with $39.6 million or $0.21 per share in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.21 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net interest income for the quarter fell to $122.9 million from $127.9 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $128.7 million.

Net interest margin fell to 3.20% from 3.41% last year.

Meanwhile, non-interest income rose to $46.5 million from $44.9 million a year ago.

The provision for credit losses was lower at $2.2 million compared with $3.5 million a year ago.
