Freescale Semiconductor Q1 Loss Narrows - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Freescale Semiconductor, Ltd. (FSL) Thursday said first-quarter loss narrowed to $23 million or $0.08 per share from $48 million or $0.19 per share in the same period last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $77 million or $0.27 per share. On average, 18 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.24 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Sales increased to $1.13 billion from $981 million last year. Analysts expected sales of $1.09 billion.

Looking ahead to the second quarter, the company has forecast sales in the range of $1.14 billion to $1.20 billion. Analysts currently expect second-quarter sales of $1.09 billion.
