Freddie Mac Announces Resignation of John Woods, Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller

MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Freddie Mac announced today that John Woods, senior vice president, corporate controller and principal accounting officer, has resigned from his position at the company effective October 28, 2005, to join Washington Mutual as its corporate controller.

Martin F. Baumann, Freddie Mac's executive vice president, Finance, and chief financial officer, expressed his thanks to Woods for his service and for the strong organization he helped to build. "While it is always difficult to lose a high-quality senior executive, John has recruited and built a terrific team," Baumann said. "The Finance group at Freddie Mac has a very strong pool of accounting and reporting leaders and professionals who will continue to do a terrific job for the company."

Freddie Mac has not yet named a successor.
