Forward Air Earnings Climb 13% In Q2

(RTTNews) - Forward Air (FWRD) revealed a profit for its second quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $19.55 million, or $0.64 per share. This was up from $17.3 million, or $0.57 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.58 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 12.1% to $267.52 million. This was up from $238.64 million last year.
