Ford F-150 Auto-assist Helps With Backing Up Trailers

(RTTNews) - Backing up a truck with trailer is really hard, even for professional drivers. However, Ford Motor Company (F) has added a new feature to its pickup trucks that makes the process much more easier.

Ford announced a new technology called Pro Trailer Backup Assist for the 2016 Ford F-150 that makes backing up a trailer much more easier.

The new Pro Trailer Backup Assist technology allows the customer to steer the trailer with a control knob while the truck steers its wheels and limits vehicle speed.

With the Pro Trailer Backup Assist, a driver just has to simply rotate a knob to right or left direction while taking care of the accelerator and brakes and the system automatically steers it to the place.

"Pro Trailer Backup Assist is a smart solution to save time and increase productivity for our customers," said Doug Scott, marketing manager, Ford Truck Group. "Instead of struggling to back up their trailer, they can spend more time on the job or enjoying the lake."
