FMC Technologies Profit Rises; Again Lifts FY Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - FMC Technologies Inc (FTI), a provider of technology solutions for the energy industry, Tuesday reported third-quarter net earnings of $169.8 million or $0.72 per share compared with $116 million or $0.49 per share last year.

Results for the 2014 quarter included a $0.07 per share charge, net of tax, related to an intercompany foreign currency transaction.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.74 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues for the quarter were $1.98 billion compared with $1.72 billion in the prior year. Analysts estimated revenues of $1.97 billion for the quarter.

Looking ahead to the full year, the company now expects earnings of $2.75 to $2.85 per share, up from prior guidance of $2.70 to $2.80 per share.

Analysts expect earnings of $2.81 per share for the year.
