Florida Virtual Academy at Pasco County Opens Next School Year
PASCO COUNTY, Fla., Aug. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida Virtual Academy at Pasco County – a new online public charter school – is now accepting enrollments for the 2013-14 school year following approval of the school's contract with the District School Board of Pasco County earlier this week.
The school will offer grades K-8 next year and add high school grades in subsequent years.
The school is governed by the independent, nonprofit Southwest Florida Virtual Charter School Board.

The new online public school is open to families throughout Pasco County. The school will offer state-of-the-art digital courses and content led by expertly trained, Florida-certified teachers using highly innovative learning technology.
Florida Virtual Academy at Pasco County will use the award-winning curriculum and academic services provided by K12 Inc. Similar Florida Virtual Academy online public charter schools have also been approved to open in Palm Beach, Duval, Broward, and Osceola counties.
