Fiserv Inc. Reports 13% Increase In Q1 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Fiserv Inc. (FISV) reported earnings for its first quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $273 million, or $1.25 per share. This was up from $241 million, or $1.06 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.19 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.5% to $1.39 billion. This was up from $1.33 billion last year.
