First Horizon National Profit Rises 46% In Q3

(RTTNews) - First Horizon National (FHN) announced earnings for its third quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $67.18 million, or $0.29 per share. This was up from $46.07 million, or $0.19 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.22 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 9.0% to $288.67 million. This was down from $317.36 million last year.
