First European Film Distributor Adopts Cinea Antipiracy Solutions; Redbus Film Distribution to Use Latest Cinea Antipiracy Solutions for DVD BAFTA Screeners

Redbus, one of the first UK film distributors to take a strongstand against movie piracy, joins high-profile studios such as theWalt Disney Company in using the Cinea S-VIEW solution. Redbusidentified two 2005 movies -- Good Night, and Good Luck and A Cock andBull Story -- to distribute to the 4,500 BAFTA members usingCinea-encrypted discs. BAFTA members previously received Cinea S-VIEWDVD players that will play the encrypted discs, as well asnon-encrypted DVDs, and only need to make a phone call to registertheir players.

Good Night, and Good Luck, directed by George Clooney, is thestory of Edward R. Murrow, a pioneer in television news with a desireto report facts and expose the lies perpetrated during the SenatorMcCarthy era in the US. A Cock and Bull Story, directed by MichaelWinterbottom and starring Steve Coogan, is a comic adaptation ofLaurence Sterne's literary masterpiece -- The Life and Opinions ofTristram Shandy, Gentleman -- and the hapless efforts of contemporaryfilmmakers in translating it into film.

Cinea has distributed the SV300 model of its S-VIEW DVD player tonearly 12,000 members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts andSciences and BAFTA. Recipients of the Cinea S-VIEW players simply needto install the player as part of their home entertainment system, asthey would install a regular DVD player, and make a phone call or goonline to register with Cinea.
