FEI Company Q1 Profit Down

(RTTNews) - FEI Company (FEIC) Tuesday reported first-quarter net income of $25.1 million or $0.59 per share, down from $26.8 million or $0.65 per share last year.

On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit of $0.67 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenue grew 2 percent to $226.3 million from $221.2 million last year. Anlaysts estimated revenues of $235.05 million for the quarter.

Looking forward to the second quarter, the company expects earnings of $0.65 to $0.75 per share and revenues of $230 million to $240 million. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $0.93 per share on revenues of $262.33 million for the quarter.
