F5 Networks Inc. Reports 6% Increase In Q1 Profit

(RTTNews) - F5 Networks Inc. (FFIV) reported earnings for its first quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $120.56 million, or $1.73 per share. This was higher than $114.22 million, or $1.55 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.60 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 5.8% to $489.49 million. This was up from $462.79 million last year.
