Ezcorp Executive Chairman Sterling Brinkley To Retire In June

(RTTNews) - Ezcorp Inc. (EZPW), a provider of pawn loans, said Monday its Executive Chairman Sterling Brinkley intends to retire, effective June 30, 2014.

Brinkley has been executive chairman since 1989 and under his leadership, Ezcorp has increased annual revenues to more than $1 billion and has grown to 1,400 locations and branches globally.

The company has also diversified its activities from a single channel, locally oriented, store-front-based pawn business to a multiple product, multiple channel, internationally oriented specialty consumer finance business.

The company said its board has formed a Governance Committee that will evaluate board structure and other corporate governance matters with the assistance of outside legal and governance advisors.
