Expeditors Int'l Of Washington Q1 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Global logistics company Expeditors International of Washington Inc. (EXPD) reported that its first-quarter net earnings attributable to shareholders rose to $83.8 million or $0.42 per share from last year's $80.3 million or $0.39 per share in the comparable quarter last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.42 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net revenues for the fourth quarter increased 4% to $464.59 million from $448.01 million last year.

Total revenues for the quarter rose to $1.49 billion from $1.41 billion in the prior year quarter. Twelve analysts had consensus revenue estimate of $1.49 billion for the quarter.
