EXOR Urges PartnerRe Shareholders To Vote Against Proposals On AXIS Deal

(RTTNews) - EXOR S.p.A. (EXOSF.PK) said it is soliciting common and preferred shareholders of PartnerRe to vote against the proposed AXIS transaction at the upcoming special general meeting of shareholders to be held on July 24, 2015. EXOR said it has received a positive response for the company's $137.50 per share, all-cash binding offer for PartnerRe shareholders.

EXOR said PartnerRe Board is engaged in a campaign to mislead its own shareholders. The company believes the inferior AXIS transaction is short on substance and long on execution and integration risks for shareholders, employees and clients.
