Exide Technologies Awarded Battery and Maintenance Contract by BP Solar Arabia for Saudi Telecom
Under the contract, Exide will supply Absolyte(R) IIP batteriesfor 175 digital microwave transmission and fiber optic transmissiontelecommunications sites in Saudi Arabia. The batteries, which will bemanufactured at Exide's plant in Fort Smith, Arkansas, are expected tobe delivered in October and December 2005.

"Thisbusiness win also demonstrates the global nature of our organization,from the sales and technical support by our team in Dubai to theactual manufacturing in the United States."
