EVRY: Strategic win in oil & gas vertical
(Stavanger, 12 June 2014) Centrica Energy Norway has chosen EVRY as its supplier of IT services for a three-year period. "This is an important contract for EVRY, and serves to strengthen our focus on the oil and gas market while at the same time reinforcing our leading position in Stavanger", comments Terje Mjøs, CEO of EVRY.
EVRY has won an important contract with the oil and gas company Centrica Energy Norway against intense competition from local and international vendors. EVRY will be responsible for delivering IT solutions that will help to support the growth of Centrica Energy Norway's activities on the Norwegian continental shelf. The parties have worked together successfully in selected delivery areas over the last couple years, and the tender process resulted in EVRY being selected as the supplier of all IT services for the next three years. The services covered by the contract include Service Desk, network consulting services and general IT services. Centrica Energy Norway has an option to renew the contract for a further two years.
"Centrica Energy Norway has built up a major position on the Norwegian continental shelf, and we have tripled our production of oil to 65,000 barrels. IT plays a crucial role for our oil production activities. The tender process we carried out showed that EVRY made the best overall offer, not least in terms of its competitive pricing and high service quality", comments Ole Petter Dahl, of Centrica Energy Norway.
"EVRY has established Oil & Gas as a strategically important industry vertical, and this contract with Centrica Energy Norway documents our expertise and competitiveness in this area. EVRY has a very effective team for oil and gas based in its Stavanger office that can fully support the requirements of oil company customers. We are delighted that this contract will expand the excellent relationship we have enjoyed with Centrica Energy Norway over the last couple of years", adds Terje Mjøs, CEO of EVRY.
Growth market
EVRY responded to increasing demand for industry-specific IT services by establishing a separate industry vertical for the oil and gas sector at the start of 2014. EVRY Oil & Gas is headed up by Nina Amdal Fiskaaen, and over 500 EVRY employees with unique technology and business knowledge specific to this sector are involved in the new industry vertical.
