ESIS Opens Claim Center in Middle East to Support Defense Base Act (DBA) Workers Compensation Claims Capabilities
ESIS, Inc., ("ESIS®”)
the risk management services company owned by the ACE Group of
Companies, today announced the launch of a local claim center in Bahrain
that will support the established and growing book of ACE USA Defense
Base Act business in the Middle East. The opening of the ESIS Bahrain
Claim Center will complement the DBA claim service offerings provided by
ESIS claim teams located in New Orleans, La. and Tampa, Fla. ESIS will
undertake a structured integration of its claim operations into the
Bahrain Claim Center to assure the delivery of high quality claim
management services in accordance with ACE global standards, as well as
local government and regulatory guidelines.
"Introducing our DBA claim capabilities in
Bahrain through the addition of in-country claim staff represents a
strategic expansion of ESIS claim management services,”
said Steven Lulewicz, Assistant Vice President, ESIS Global Claims
Operations. "ESIS helps clients reduce their
total cost of loss through use of contemporary and effective risk
management products and services. This Bahrain undertaking will position
ESIS for future opportunities in this key region.”
ESIS also recently enhanced its state-of-the-art, web-based DBA risk
management reporting system. Based on in-depth DBA client feedback, the
ESIS e-risk MANAGER® system
introduced simplified navigation, flexible reporting and streamlined
LS202 filings that meet U.S. government reporting requirements for DBA
claims.
"When U.S.-based contractors of any size are
awarded a contract that is authorized, approved, or financed by the U.S.
government or its agencies, they must act quickly to secure DBA workers
compensation coverage. ACE USA’s combination
of online claim reporting and centralized as well as in-country DBA risk
management capabilities, coupled with our value-added coverage, such as
employer’s liability, repatriation,
accidental death and dismemberment, and kidnap and extortion, makes ACE
USA DBA workers compensation insurance a comprehensive solution for U.S.
contractors, sub-contractors and their employees—while
they’re doing business in the Middle East,”
said William House, Senior Vice President of ACE Foreign Casualty, part
of ACE Global Underwriting Group.
According to Giles Ward, Regional Managing Director—ACE
Insurance Middle East & North Africa (MENA) Regional Office in the
Kingdom of Bahrain, "By introducing ESIS’
Global Claim Operations capabilities in Bahrain for ACE USA DBA
insurance, ACE demonstrates its ability to offer the power of its global
capabilities with on-the ground local expertise to benefit our
multinational clients who operate in the growing Middle East market.”
