Enter the Regions Charity Classic Junior Poster Contest
Calling all junior artists! Regions Financial Corp. (NYSE: RF) announced
today that it will be accepting entries to the Regions Charity Classic
Junior Poster Contest through Wednesday, April 30, 2008. On top of the
individual poster contest prize winnings, a total of $34,000 in cash
will be awarded to schools throughout the state.
"The first Regions Charity Classic Junior
Poster Contest brought in more than 11,000 entries last year,”
said Alabama Regional Executive Sam Tortorici. "We
anticipate the same enthusiasm if not more this year. The Regions
Charity Classic is an exciting week of Champions Tour golf and provides
Regions the opportunity to give back to the community. This poster
contest allows even children to be part of a great event that benefits
so many charities.”
Students must be enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade to
participate. A total of 24 grade level prizes will be awarded to the top
poster entrants from each grade level in four regional areas throughout
the state. Grade Level prizes include:
$1,000 to winner’s school
A technology prize package for winner
$100 savings bond from Regions Bank for winner
The top poster from each grade level will then be entered in the grand
prize competition to win $10,000 for the winner’s
school. In addition, the student’s poster will
be deemed the official tournament poster. Grand Prize winnings include:

Saturday night accommodations (May 17) at Ross Bridge for winner and
family, plus admission to tournament on Sunday

"In addition to raising money for Alabama’s
charities, Regions is proud be able to support education throughout the
state with this poster contest,” said
Tortorici. "We are incorporating the grand
prize poster as part of the official tournament memorabilia.”
All eligible students may visit any Regions branch in the state of
Alabama to obtain complete poster rules, regulations and drop-off

All posters must be submitted by Wednesday, April 30, to be eligible for
judging.

The 2008 Regions Charity Classic presented by Bruno’s
Supermarkets will be held May 12-18 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail
at Ross Bridge. Players anticipated to participate include Peter
Jacobsen, Tom Kite, Bernhard Langer, Hale Irwin, Jay Haas, Loren
Roberts, Lee Trevino, Ben Crenshaw, Jerry Pate and many other great
names. Brad Bryant became a two-time defending Regions Charity Classic
winner during the sixteenth annual tournament. Since its inception, the
tournament foundation is approaching $10 million for various charities.
